    The Girl Scouts of the USA tapped Sanborn to create a truly immersive "choose-your-own-adventure" experience for girls that puts them in the director's chair. The site uses POV (point-of-view) video as a vehicle for experiencing the creative decision-making process a director in the "real world" works through. Great example of a site that employs an enormous amount of technical complexity (underneath the hood) to deliver a simple, intuitive experience to the user (on the surface).

    Global brands require digital solutions with global reach and universal appeal. Sanborn conceptualized and engineered a solution for DKNY's Golden Delicious fragrance that invited its fan base to send a virtual locket to their Facebook friends. Available in 8 languages, the Golden Delicious app got people buzzing about the new fragrance.

  • The Super Adventures of Sophie and the City

    When Kelly Florio approached us to make a website and iPad version of her new book "The Super Adventures of Sophie and the City" not only did we take the opportunity to utilize Parallax Scrolling, but we also were able to use the two youngest employees (Chris Sanborn's 2- and 4-year old daughters) to product test and perform quality assurance.

    Dubbed "The Facebook for books" by Good Morning America, this site employs federated social login (the ability to "plug in" your FB account, Twitter account and others) to uncover connections users have amongst their friends through the books they have read. The site was the centerpiece for Scholastic's 90th anniversary and garnered national press attention.

  • InStyle Digital Lookbooks

    When InStyle discovered many of their digital "lookbook" users were accessing the content on tablet devices, they turned to us to help engineer a "device agnostic" solution (ie - an interface that could work on a range of devices and formats). The effort had to rely on producing a series of lookbooks with limited investment so a set of "skinnable" templates were developed and leveraged across multiple issues.

    When the folks at Garden & Gun ask you to do something, you get it done first and ask question later. Tastes & Tunes is a deep-fried-and-dipped-in-honey-mustard digital component to a successful in-book advertorial whereby users browse and sample the best of the best Southern food and music. We have yet to figure out a way to code up a moist towelette...but we're working on it for next year.
